Hello, IGNers! So, today was a pretty exciting day. I got to meet up with SAM_31007. He's super amazing and it was such a fun day! ^_^

I haven't really met many of my online friends before, so I was pretty nervous going over there XD Turns out, we live pretty close to each other, so we decided to take a day off school/work/catchingraccoonsformyarmy and spend a day together! Needless to say it was glorious!

PICTCHA TIME!

First off, where Sam lives is basically all trees and mountains. It's gorgeous!

(Yes I took this while driving, but I was careful!) That sky and mountains though!!

Upon arrival at the secret raccoon-fortified fortress of forty dollar forth of July fireworks, our day begins.

*I have a huge dorky grin because I was extremely nervous and excited*

^ Sayum! After a DNUT High-Five, we wreaked havoc at the mall for a few hours (WHICH BY THE WAY THEY HAVE A CHICK-FIL-A THERE AND IF YOU'VE NEVER HAD CHICK-FIL-A GO HAVE IT NOW! It's delicious<3) I beat Sam at Sonic Rush....once.....out of the 7 times we played....but...still...I beat him! Sam and I had super amazing lemonade (though I think his was poisoned with a sour spell..)

We then went to a local pet shop where they had...

Yes. That says. HEDGEHOGS. GUYS. THEY HAD HEDGEHOGS HERE. HEDGEHOGS! WHAT. COINCIDENCES. HAPPEN. 2 HEDGEHOGS. ONE DAY. OH MY GOSH. There were also adorable puppies, birds, and a cute kitty cat (but Sam reminded me that I could not have any pets in my student housing annnnnd that owning every animal in the shop was probably not a good idea)

After cute, fuzzy animals, we went SHOPPING for Nerd Shirts!

We Found them.

AFTER THAT! We went to Ci-Ci's pizza! Because...pizza <3 Now if you've never had CiCis..well it's basically A lot a lot a lot a lot of pizza and random things in buffet form. Tis quite delicious!

(However Sam's pizza slices could've used some Viagra or something)

Inside CiCis....is....an...ARCADE!

Sam and I tied in Air Hockey (or so he would say, but I was totes going to win until the timer stopped and the air hockey table stopped providing the air) annnnnnd we played...

Sam and I killed at this game until he died XD I got past the T-rex but died shortly after, too. Great game, by the way! Totally beats that new...what's it called? Destination? Desensitize? Oh, right. Destiny! Totes beats it.

But then the day ended, and we had to go back to our hedgehog hole and raccoon trunks!

All and all, it was an amazing day! A big thank you to Sam for putting up with me, and for helping me take over Colorado.

Soo... about 3 years ago I joined IGN and met a lot of fabulous people. However, on this day (October 6th) some crazy guy with a Bob Ross avatar posted on my wall complimenting my Sly Cooper avatar...

This one ^ To be exact...and 1,000,000 IGN wall posts later we became very close friends!

Let me tell you a little bit about Jose, and why he absolutely deserves this blog and probably a lot more:

Jose is an amazing artist, friend, smeller of fine cheeses, and professional procrastinator. He's crazy about Star Wars, Funko! Pop figurines, Playstation Trophies, Burritos and Curly fries, Doctor Who, and Bob Ross' seductive tone.

While I adore him for all that, there's also some more reasons:

For the past three years, he's been by my side through a lot of crazy stuff in my life. My mom's emotional abuse, my crazy ex-boyfriends, starting my college years, and so much more.

We're both always there for each other, and I can not tell you how many times I've went to him and just vented out my entire heart about something (probably something really silly at the time), and he would just listen and be there to comfort me. Whenever I'm feeling sad or angry, Jose's usually the first one I go to (whether he's online or not, I usually spam his Skype chat if he's offline).

Jose is the most caring, greatest, and sassiest friend I've ever had. And the fact that I met someone so great on IGN, and he's stuck with me all these years...well it's just really mind-blowing to me.

If one of you reading hasn't gotten the chance to meet him, well send him a random IGN wall post. That's what I did...and boy...am I happy I did.

NOW MORE TO THE POINT, IT'S OUR BEST FRIEND ANNIVERSARY!

This first part of this blog was basically to stroke Jose's ego, and I'm sure it's mission accomplished there.

So, It's time for gifts!

In honor of this day, I drew Jose a picture of him and I fighting over Sly Cooper (because we are constantly saying one of us the bigger fan, when in reality it's really me)

Here is the result! I tried to make this as accurate as possible....XD I'm wearing my Sly Cooper shirt (which I do have one, it's black with a white Sly face...i made it years ago ) and my one eye has yellow-green in it because...well my real eyes do! Jose's wearing his Stylish-Californian shirt he loves (although he hardly wears pants, but that's all I can draw so he can go suck an egg) '

I think it turned out pretty well! Considering I've never drawn something that's my own before...usually just copy a picture of something...and I also hate coloring...but I think I did at LEAST a B+ here.

Jose, I just want to say thank you for the experience you've given me in my life.

Thank you, especially, for the following:

1. Putting up with me falling asleep every time we'd go to watch Battlestar Galactica

3. Being right by my side the moment Bobby died, and helping me calm down.

I don't feel like myself anymore. I've been skipping class often, staying up late at night with insomnia, and when I do fall asleep I wake up feeling worse than before.

I feel that I have no motivation to do anything....Activities I once loved doing just don't appeal to me anymore.

People tell me it's just stress from school, or it's just me being lazy...but I know it's something else.

I keep my usual smile and happy-go-lucky nature around my friends and family so they don't worry, but inside it's slowly killing me not to let this out.

I see so many other people out there suffering from bigger problems than my own...so I feel it would be selfish to admit any of these things.

I try so hard to motivate myself to live my life....but when i think about that...It just seems easier to give up.

By this point, you might be wondering why the heck I started my blog off so....depressing. Well, look at the title. I'm not going to sugar-coat anything here. This isn't going to be one of my silly sly cooper blogs or poetry deals...I'm going to get pretty personal here.

I suppose I should start at the very beginning.

Hi. My name is Blair. Pleased to meet you (unless I know you already, then Hello, friend)

A TL;DR version of my life story would be I grew up with a mother who emotionally and (on rare occasion) physically abused me for about 15 years. She made me feel like I didn't matter, that I was nothing but a "selfish b*tch of a daughter who doesn't respect anybody." and that nobody in my life would ever want me there. Living with her was my first time encountering depression. I thought about suicide, I hated myself for who I was, and I just couldn't escape the dark thoughts that clouded my mind.

To this day, my relationship with her has gotten a bit better, but the emotional scars she has left on me have yet to heal. I have become very defensive of myself around people, I tend to take a lot of things to heart, and sometimes I just feel very scared that one day she's going to call me and start yelling at me for living.

I got out of there at the age of 18, lived with a crazy Aunt who caused more stress than she was worth...so I moved again to live with my Boyfriend at the time and a friend in our own apartment-housing-thing. Friend moved, Broke up with boyfriend because he made me feel insignificant and unloved....and continued living my life.

I am now 20 years old, living on my own and attending college. I guess I'm doing alright.

Now I suppose at this point I may have confused you. You see, the things you read above have been on my mind a lot recently. The hating who you are, no motivation, feeling like you're never going to matter, and all the rest.

They've been here for awhile really, almost a year now. No, I haven't considered suicide, nor will I ever. I know that's never the right option.

I feel like my life right now is on auto-pilot...or like I'm just watching a zombie version of me from the sidelines. It's weird this way.

Many people in my life have been coming to me for help about things in their life...and they tell me constantly how much I've helped them and they appreciate me. That's one of only things keeping me going right now. At the same time, though, I feel like these instances are draining the life right out of me.

I know my friends are there for me, always. I know a lot of people in my life care about me, forever. I know they all tell me i'm worthwhile, nonstop. But...

and there it is. There is always a "but" to these kinds of things. I'm not going to say it doesn't matter how many times I hear that I'm cared about or that I'm worthwhile, because it does. If I never heard them, I would believe every thought that depression makes you think. It's just...sometimes it's not enough to get through the darkness inside...

What DOES work on the darkness is knowing that I'm not the only one going through something like this. 

The main reason I made this blog is not for pity, or to tell you a sob story, but to make sure if any one of you out there is living the way I am...well you aren't alone. and You will never be alone. It's tragic that we're going through this, but I can assure You that we are strong enough to get past all of this and live a happy, normal life. It just takes some time.

Things may seem useless. and you WILL have days where you wake up and just want to curl in a ball and cry. And you know what? go ahead. There's nothing to be ashamed about how You are feeling or what You are going through. There is never anything about yourself to be ashamed of. You are special, You are unique, and You matter.

I don't claim to understand everything about depression, nor do I have the cure. I just know that things will get better with time. And even though right now I'm going through hard times and darkness is consuming me, I KNOW that I am strong enough to get past it.

I know You are strong enough to get past this, too. Don't You for a second think You're worthless or unloved. Life sucks...a lot. I know it seems so easy to give up entirely so you won't have any pain or sadness...but It's not worth it.

I'm not saying that I am fully healed. I don't think I will be for awhile. But if every now and then I can wake up, feel good about myself, and enjoy living? Well, then I know I am strong enough to get past all of this. and I know that You are, too.

and if you don't have depression, and you don't feel like this blog relates to you, well whenever you are sad or down or just need a reminder...

Remember you are loved. Remember You are worthwhile. Remember that there are so many people in your life who love you.

So October 6 was the 3 year anniversary of JoseOmatic's and I being bestest friends. We're sappy like that. However, because I'm the better friend and the bigger sly cooper fan (even though sly cooper has nothing to do with this) my gifts to him were presented on that day...and his just came Today.

While a Sly 5 isn't confirmed or anything, it definitely needs to happen. Otherwise, I'm destroying all copies of Sly 4 and leaving Sly 3 as the official (and probably the BEST) ending.

My hopes are that Sucker Punch will take back their beloved raccoon, and they will make a game I can fall in love with, just like I did the original 3.

Until then......

I shall anticipate the Sly Cooper movie in 2016, and hope to GOD Kevin Miller (the voice of Sly from the games) will be the voice of Sly in the movie.

I kid, obviously. I do love Spanish though, and I absolutely ADORED this shirt when I first saw (at my workplace's online store no doubt!) and dropped hints at Jose about it. You see...no stores in Pennsylvania had this shirt, but about twenty in California did. So, being the subtle person I am, I dropped minor hints to Jose about it...by printing out the addresses of every store in Cali that had this shirt and listing them all of..

Aww yeah....Subtle.

But now this selfie looks awesome!

Sly Cooper is a Raccoon.

Let me present some Irony to you all:

1. Raccoons are not my favorite animal, Polar Bears are. However, they are #3 in the top 10, after Panthers.

2. I come from a Family of RACCOON HUNTERS.

STORY TIME

So my grandfather, James Blair London Sr. and his father, and his father before him, were all Raccoon Hunters. They collected the pelts of the raccoons and stored them in freezers in the house. However, my Grandfather did this...sort of illegally.

I'm not too sure exactly what he did, but the way he stored them wasn't up to code or something.

HOWEVER ONE DAY when my Dad, James Blair London Jr. (You guys realize who named me yet?) was a little pre-teen, he had a strange experience with the pelts.

You see, the official hunting people came to my Grandfather's door, demanding to see the pelts and confiscate them (someone tipped them off apparently). Well, my Grandmother distracted the officials with tea and cookies while my grandfather....

well...

he went to to freezer...

took ALL the frozen, bloody pelts...

and stuck them inside my dad's bed while he was sleeping.

Now of course my dad woke up very confused..and very cold. But he kept Grandfather's little secret.

When the officials came into my Dad's room, they didn't suspect anything, but my (did I mention my dad was sleeping naked?) dad's whole body was covered in freezing cold dead raccoon.

Maybe THAT'S why he didn't become a raccoon hunter like the family....

Anyway, the officials never found anything, and my Grandpa sold the pelts or turned them into hats (my dad let me wear one of the hats he made when I was younger)

So how's that for irony?

I come from a family of Raccoon Murderers...

WHO WOULD EVER WANT TO HURT SUCH AN ADORABLE CREATURE.

So, I go on Tumblr a lot, and I received an "Anonymous Message" today that said "Tell me about Sly Cooper "

....I responded.

Here's what the entire post looks like:

Here's What it says: (MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)

OH MY GOD I COULD SERIOUSLY GO ON A TEN PAGE RESEARCH PAPER ABOUT SLY COOPER.

So Sly Cooper’s parents were murdered by the Fiendish Five (Raleigh, Muggshot, Mz. Ruby, The Panda King, and Clockwerk) on the night he was supposed to receive the Thievius Racconus (His family lineage-created book of thievery and mastery of sneakiness). The five divided the book amongst themselves as Sly was hiding in a closet.

He was sent to an orphanage where he met his two best friends Bentley (The Brains) and Murray (The Brawn). They started their own gang of thievery together!

With their powers combined (they form captain planet) they tracked down each member of the fiendish five and got the stolen pages of raccoonus back! However, Ms. Carmelita Foxx is determined every step of the way to stop the Cooper gang (she IS a police officer after all), but a hint of romance between her and Sly always catches her off guard, and he gets away. After defeating Clockwerk, his next mission was to gather Clockwerk’s parts so he would never see the light of day again. However, someone already stole the parts before him!

Turns out the Klaww Gang (Dimitri, Rajan, The Contessa, Jean Bison, and Arpeggio) have stolen the parts and used them basically to control the world! In the end, Clockwerk is reborn, and Sly and the gang stop him once more! However, at the cost of Bentley’s ability to walk D: Blaming himself, Murray leaves the Cooper gang, and the trio reunite in the third installment of the game series.

The third game series is all about Sly getting into his family’s treasure vault, but Dr. M (who once was a member of Sly’s DAD’s Cooper Gang) is trying to get in it first! The cooper gang go on a long journey of getting together many more members with unique skills to join the cooper boys to defeat Dr. M and reclaim Sly’s birthright. Murray joins the gang again, and with the help of more friends they defeat Dr. M.

However, Sly gets “Amnesia” and Carmelita tells him that he is her partner with the police force, and Sly gives up thievery. However, we find out he is faking it when Bentley and Murray find his cane next to the millions of gold coins in the vault, and a sly cooper calling card.

The fourth game is the last installment (currently) of the series, and deals with the page of Thievius Raccoonus “disappearing before their very eyes” risking his relationship with Ms. Foxx, sly re-joins the cooper gang and they all set off on an adventure through time to find out a villain named “Le Paradox” is stealing Cooper Family canes and ruining Sly’s lineage! Sly and the gang work with Sly’s ancestors to get their canes back and stop this villain once and for all. even Carmelita helps! In the end, everyone but Sly and Le Paradox are returned to the present time…and Sly is nowhere to be seen.

I love Sly Cooper.

I swear I don't have a problem.

So not only did Nintendo announce a lot of awesome gamer stuff at their Direct today, but a little Tweet from ValveTime (Which provides us with information on all things Steam and Valve!) also gave Portal fans something to get a cake about.

OOOOOH BABYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

Not many details are known about the game as of yet, but Valve programmer, Jeep Barnett had a recent interview with Kotaku and gave us this little surprise:

"We're very excited to announce a demo for Portal 3, but we don't know when we'll be releasing to the public" explained Barnett. "Are we really done? Is there anything more we can do? Is a new Portal game ready for the world? I don't know yet. We're really trying to cover the broad spectrum of what we can do with the series, and then we'll start focusing on spearheading that."

"We've said, 'Let's take some existing art and see how it fits,'" Barnett continued. "So yeah, we'll grab some turrets, we'll grab a companion cube or two, the portal gun of course - all those different fun things - and see how they play in Portal 3. But right now, we're just exploring the different kind of game design we want to do."

I am certainly extremely exciting by this news...it finally debunks the rumor that Valve can't count to 3!

I'm hoping for maybe either some more information on Doug Rattman, or a "Life After Aperture" kind of deal.

Heck, at this point I'd take a game from the POV of a turret! Anything Portal works for me!

IT'S JOSE'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those who do not know, JoseOmatic is one of IGN's finest. He's very kind, caring, and his humor can not be surpassed. He's been my best friend for 3 years, and I have the honor of calling myself GirlfriendOmatic.

If anyone deserves a happy day, it's him. He does so much for everyone else, and I know personally he's been there for me many times.

He's not only the best boyfriend, but the best dudette I could ever ask for.

He was also a butt and opened his presents from me 2 days before his birthday, so I can't even spoil to you guys what I got him

(but in case you don't know, I got him these:

(The batman funko is custom-painted by me to look like the Michael Keaton batman (Jose's Fave!) and I'm telling you this because I have bragging rights of being awesome.)

...though I DID tell him he could open them.

9. I used to want to be a masseuse when I was younger, so I would give massages in exchange for bubble gum. This offer still stands today.

10. When I'm alone, I like to put on makeup to look like Disney/Movie characters. Check my last blog, but imagine that 10x worse.

11. I was walking home one day, and I saw a flock of birds in the middle of a parking lot. So I run up to them to scare them all away and watch them fly. When I did that, I looked up...Just as a bird Shat on my head. Needless to say, I still have urges to scare birds, but that moment reminds me not to.

Well. I can't post Status Updates, and It said I had 65 (ironic) notifications, but they've all disappeared. So I will just post here.

How are all of you? How are things going?

A lot of things have changed on my end, and I'm visiting here for nostalgic reasons. Also, I missed my licking avatar.

I hope you guys are leading fulfilling lives and making dreams come true.

If not, you at least better be eating and drinking enough in a day. Stay healthy. You're important. Water tastes odd but it's also good for you.
